The Great Debate

I watched the debate and I’ve heard the pundits. I’ve even read comments on Twitter. President Obama was low key and many felt like he missed the opportunity to go after Romney.Romney was aggressive and some thought rude. The main thing to know is in the next couple of days the fact checkers will catch up with Romney. He’s gone on record on a number of issues now that will haunt him in the coming weeks.

I won’t say Obama won the debate but neither will I say Romney won. Yes, pundits are drooling on themselves about how aggressive Romney was but I think much of what Romney said will come back to bite him in the butt.

The president showed up to debate Romney’s positions as he stated them over months only to have Romney deny his own positions and plans YET AGAIN. It will not go unnoticed, and it will not go unchallenged. Watch for the ads and don’t miss the upcoming debates.

While the President didn’t give what most would call a sterling performance, he may have done something better….he didn’t give them anything to use against him. He didn’t attack, he didn’t talk over Romney, he wasn’t rude to the moderator and he didn’t do a quick change into someone nobody knew.  And hopefully, he put this behind him, went home with his wife of 20 years and got lucky.

Thats what I decided not to far in the debate. I think Mitt was given a long rope to hang himself with. Plus he just looked creepy.

@Wizcon, I agree…..I think he is really one creepy looking dude.

I really believe Obama was also preoccupied with the Syria/Turkey thing. He must have heard about it shortly before taking the stage.

@Sage, There was a shot of Michelle before he came out and she was kind of frowning.

    Sage Reply:

@Wizcon, I’d be frowning, too if I had to spend my anniversary sitting there listening to Mitt Romney lie. :-)
