In fact, beautifully said, Sage. I keep hoping more US citizens will wake up, wise up, or simply start to think critically about the principles that set our country apart from others.

Have you noticed also that many if not most of the politicized, dogmatic fundamentalist Christians seem to revere the Old Testament. Apparently they missed what I thought was the point of Jesus’ teaching, i.e., a new covenant based on the law of love instead of the love of law. Isn’t that why there is a New Testament in the Bible?
