After spending 4 days without electricity after the storm that ripped through the area where I live, it has become obvious that we need to rethink how we produce and get electricity. A storm that quickly swept across the eastern seaboard took out power to over 3 million homes and businesses. Some people still don’t have power, having lost it on Friday, June 29. The economic cost to individuals and businesses has been enormous. It’s time for a new plan.
