What could possibly inspire an adult to taunt a dying child? According to the article, the child’s grandmother didn’t respond quickly enough to a text from this crazy woman asking her if her children could come over and play. The grandmother was in the middle of a birthday party and evidently things snowballed from there.
The article says that Jennifer Petkov has apologized but it seems it is a case of too little, too late, and the apology appears to have come only after Ms. Petkov’s behavior had been condemned all over the internet. Her husband has been suspended from his job with pay and his employer is considering firing him.
Recently we have seen many reports of bullying of kids by kids but this has to be the most disgusting displays I have seen from an adult. It ranks even higher on the despicable scale than the Fred Phelp’s funeral picketing bunch.
Here’s my question – when did bullying become so prevalent and seemingly acceptable in this country? I’ve never seen so many reports of outrageous bullying as I have in the past year or so. What’s going on that adults now think it’s okay to bully and harass other people? And are the incidents of teenagers bullying teenagers just reflecting what adults are being seen doing?
An American husband and wife have been branded the most heartless couple in the U.S. after taunting the family of a seven-year-old girl who is dying from an incurable disease.
Scott and Jennifer Petkov’s despicable behaviour has caused outrage across the country after they posted a photo of terminally ill schoolgirl Kathleen Edwards on Facebook above a set of crossed bones.
Little Kathleen is in the final stages of Huntington’s disease – the same wasting illness that her mother, Laura, died from last year at the age of 24.

When i first started to read this I assumed the couple were young, like college age and didn’t know better. Then to realize they are not AND are old enough to have their own school age children………WTF. Not that being young is an excuse, but being parents makes an inexcusable act truly INEXCUSABLE. Hot spot in hell for this couple because you know what? No apology is enough and to say you’re sorry only because you are caught and embarassed by the public turning on you does not mean you are sorry. The brain behind this lady…..she is mentally ill.

@AliSilver, I have a theory about these creatures that may help with your “shame” over sharing their species. Over the years I have often been confused over such inconceivable behavior. Since I can not watch a fly drown in a puddle, I am completely confused by the “Petkovs” of the world and for a long time could not wrap my head around what seemed to be a fact, that human beings could be so cruel. Then the answer came to me. There are really 2 separate species in the world. There are human beings; they have a conscience, are capable of empathy, mercy and on occassion, selflessness. Human beings are not perfect but they understand and to some extent attempt to adhere to such existential concepts as honor and integrity. Human Beings have a soul. Then there are others. They walk about on two legs and appear as normal people but they are really just worms wearing “human being” costumes. They are a species unto themselves and can only be recognized by completely selfish behavior that is absolutely void of conscience. They are incapable of compassion, honor, integrity. Concepts such as these are words with no meaning for them. They are not Human Beings and though they may look like us, they are something else entirely. You do not “share species with these 2″ subspecies, They are among the conterfiet pretenders of humanity. The bullys, the murderers, the petophiles, the narcasists, the drive-by shooters and the wallstreet money grubbers. They are not Human Beings.

I’d say they are more animal, but even animals don’t exhibit that kind of behavior. Sub humans…. I like it.
I had a neighbor like that once, only the farmer version.
She once drove by and flipped the bird at me as I was leaving my house. My then 3 yr old asked about it and I said it was just her way of saying “Hi”.
A couple of days later, the woman drove by on her tractor and there was my 3 yr old standing in the yard flipping the bird at her with a big old smile on her face.
Moral: Be careful of what you say and do in front of kids.

I live near Trenton, Mi. I know the lady she tried to run over. I understand petkov was throwing MICE into her pool! Petkov also cut the hoses to the pool filter. She is truly Hated by the entire neighborhood. The news (here) reported that after giving an apology in front of a court mediator, she was walking into her house telling her husband Scott, “I don’t give a f**k who is dying!!!” Do you really think she is sorry?? NO. She is pissed that the family she Hates so badly is getting all this love. Her evil trick back fired on her… I do feel sorry for the Petkov children. They have been raised in so much hate.

The woman accused of taunting a terminally ill seven-year-old and her family is now accused of trying to run another neighbor over with her car.
Tana Boling says it happened Wednesday when she was crossing the street to talk to Rebecca Rose, little Kathleen Edward’s grandmother. Next thing she knew, she says she was dodging a car.
“When I got like so far out in the street, she (came) speeding out of the driveway right towards me, and if I wouldn’t (have) got out of her way there’s no doubt she would have hit me,” Tana Boling said.
Petkov’s been charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and reckless driving. Her family put up ten-percent of her $75,000 bond to get her out of jail. This time they weren’t willing to talk to the cameras, but instead of telling us that themselves, they called the cops to be their messengers. SOURCE
I especially like the way her husband tries to plead innocence by saying it’s all HER and not him. Sorry dude, you condone her behavior by staying married to her ! If it was so horrifying to him, then the second he saw what she’d done he’d be in divorce court the next week and keeping her kids from her and saying i have no clue who this crazy woman is. Nice try though dude !
the problem is that these people ARE human beings. we all want to distance ourselves from it but these traits (hers: out of control bullying and rage, his: complete weakness in the face of a bully) are present to a lesser degree all over this country. road rage is a version of total narcissism where people routinely risk the lives of others to save 1 second off their commute. the difference is a matter of degree.
It’s a fucking epidemic. American culture right now is steeped in savage dehumanization as entertainment, raging confrontation, mockery and judgment of “the others”. is it any wonder that freaks like this who have gone off the deep end see reinforcement everywhere for their bloodsport? the woman is mentally ill and I could certainly believe that her husband probably is the male version of a battered wife, beaten into submission and unable to stand up to her.
