Toyota announces global recall of more than 400,000 Prius, other hybrid cars
I really wonder what happened with Toyota that it would go from having some of the most maintenance free, high trade in value cars, to having so many recalls and so many problems. I’d love to know if the recalled vehicles are from particular plants. Is there any correlation to the problems Toyota was having with training workers detailed in this post: Toyota Reveals Limits of Great Southern Jobs Scam
TOKYO — Toyota on Tuesday announced another global recall — this time, more than 400,000 Prius and other hybrid cars with braking problems, as a quality crisis continues to curse the carmaker that built its global reputation on quality.
Toyota President Akio Toyoda used extraordinary language at a press conference here to apologize for quality and safety issues that have led to the recall of more than 7 million vehicles in recent months.
He repeated three times that Toyota was neither failure-proof nor “omnipotent,” and he said that his company would now “redouble our commitment to quality as the lifeline of our company.”
The recall will fix a software glitch in the brakes of the Prius and three other hybrid models. It has caused brief and sometimes frightening delays in perceived braking capacity on icy or bumpy roads.

No, I don’t think so. It’s too specific and the problems would have shown up earlier I think.

Or perhaps ( here goes my conspiracy radar in overdrive) the US authomakers , having such a time of things, have somehow ‘entrapped’ them ? Or waited to expose this? HAHA,, I doubt it.

Oh Sage, off topic, but I was reading a thing you’d like today on Palin. Apparently she said she was all for war with Iran, ‘cuz that’s what Buchanan said in some editorial or speech and she rambled on some run on sentences that made no sense. But that’s not what Buchanan said at all. LOL

Do you have a link to the article?
I can’t figure out why this woman is still news. She quit her position as Governor because it was just two much after 2 years and she’s thinking about being president? The only news show she should be on is The Daily Show.

@Wizcon, Well she blames it on a more well known name like Buchanon , which leads creedance to HER wanting it and he didn’t say it. I was just reading more about it and a blogger says she either didn’t read what PAT says or she didn’t understand what PAT said or she’s outright lying about what PAT said and which one of those 3 options makes her a good candidate for anything ?

@Sage, NP , I’m feeling a sarah palin PSI brewing in my head
I just for the longest didnt’ care for her one way or the other and the more she is shoved down my throat the more i cannot stand her ! But now that so many people are supporting her, I’m super perplexed. How can, at my semi young age be smarter than most of those in a party that i was in most of my life? It doesn’t make any sense that smart THINKING conservatives think she’s ANYTHING special . I do not get it.
