Sage … Franken’s heart is in the right place… I support
Bernie Sanders Senate Ammendment 2837 which “would create “a universal, single-payer health insurance system” that is federally funded but administered by the states.”
I think Sander’s ammendment is a step in the right direction.
(I was at our physician’s office on Friday … in conversation about how this country is just not the country anyone expected it to be as a result of the occupations and the misspending and bailouts by the bush and now obama administration, she said, her census is down ….. too many people without jobs, without insurance, without homes as they have lost their homes too..) And all of that was in response to my wondering why refer to any other physician for medication which might help slow the progression of something like Alzheimer’s disease, why not just let nature take its course which it will anyhow.
Sage, I agree with you, Alzheimer’s diseaseis a terrible disease.
My point was, with all the services in healthcare that Medicare is dropping, as are al of the rest of the insurances, … it just does not seem fair to the ill person, or the caregiver, to not let nature take its course … Or, another way of saying it is, we have become so used to medicine prolonguing our lives and taking care of our ills, that when the way we receive healthcare changes because the healthcare is no longer there ….what is the right thing to do?

I like Franken a lot. I’m a bit surprised as to how aggressive he can be sometimes but I applaud it.
Alzheimer’s disease is a horrible disease and I understand why people want to slow the progression.

Well, I have to respectfully disagree here. If we let nature take it’s course we wouldn’t bother to fight any disease.
