Sarah Palin Goes ‘Birther’ (VIDEO)
Officials from the State of Hawaii have confirmed Barack Obama’s birth certificate as being on file in Hawaii and that he is a U.S. citizen, so just what part of the “birther” discussion is fair game, Sarah? Her nuttiness just keeps spilling out.
Just FYI, Article II, Section I of the Constitution says:
No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty five years, and been fourteen Years a resident within the United States.
Obama is a citizen of the U.S. and that should be enough said.
Sarah Palin declared on Thursday that the legitimacy of President Obama’s birth certificate is “rightfully” an issue with the American public, and that it is “fair game” for politicians to question Obama’s citizenship.
The comments came during an interview with conservative radio host Rusty Humphries, who asked Palin whether she planned to “make the birth certificate an issue” if she runs for president in 2012.
“I think the public rightfully is still making it an issue,” Palin said. “I don’t have a problem with that. I don’t know if I would have to bother to make it an issue, because I think that members of the electorate still want answers.”
In a later flip flop:
Sarah Palin scrambled away from the birther movement last night after giving them a wink and a nod on a conservative radio talk show yesterday. Posting on her Facebook page at 1:16am, Palin writes that, “at no point – not during the campaign, and not during recent interviews – have I asked the president to produce his birth certificate or suggested that he was not born in the United States.” She tries to dismiss her birther flirtation as just an acknowledgment of voters’ right to know: “Voters have every right to ask candidates for information if they so choose. I’ve pointed out that it was seemingly fair game during the 2008 election for many on the left to badger my doctor and lawyer for proof that Trig is in fact my child.”
SOURCE
I guess one looney tune deserves another. I don’t think “many” on the left got into that Trig is not Sarah’s child. It was a group of nuts.

Sarah P. might just be her own worst enemy when she is off her meds. I do believe she is in need some lithium.

@skyagunsta, I could NOT agree more. I’ve seen the constantly roving eyes behind glasses that are always looking for the EXIT ,,,, and she has them. I am thinking when all is said and done she may be an undiagnosed schizophrenic. And I mean that. I’m not just trashing on her. It is an experienced guess. Although not an Obama fan here, I’m really hoping people do not rush out and vote palin in ’12 in hopes of double changing the change !
YIKES !
Brings up another point……..How difficult would it be to just give ALL presidential contenders a PSYCH profile ?? I mean honestly isn’t it important enough not to have an insane person in the white house to just have them clear the most basic of psych exams………. ?

@AliSilver, “How difficult would it be to just give ALL presidential contenders a PSYCH profile ?? I mean honestly isn’t it important enough not to have an insane person in the white house to just have them clear the most basic of psych exams………. ?”
I certainly had that thought when Bush was in office.
The problem with qualifying a presidential candidate with a psych test is who would administer the test and how would the results be interpreted? We would have psychologists picking our political leaders and no doubt inserting their own bias on one level or another.
Churchill was a heavy drinker, but apparently the right leader for GB at the time. Clinton had his “issues”, but IMHO, was a good president. How do we (or psychologists) decide what flaws are acceptable and which are fatal?

@timesr, Not so much for fatal flaws , as you say. But just a basic clinical test to rule out sociopaths, schizophrenics, multiples, etc. MENTAL DISEASES, not just flaws. I mean I’m looking at Palin, thinkign GOD FORBID PEOPLE, you cannot really vote for her???????? I’m afraid they might. But I feel very strongly she is suffering some sort of mental disease. Her actions, language and other things indicate it all the time. Of course with the big pharma push going on these days, there is probably n ot a one of us who wouldnt’ be labelled with some disorder and needing a big prescription, LOL.

As you note, the rigors of a campaign expose that. The problem is, some people don’t mind and others actually like it. For instance, my brother is a paranoid schizophrenic, votes, and believed George Bush was the guy to keep us safe.
I can just imagine how Palin supporters would react to the news that she had flunked her psychological entrance exam.

Here’s something interesting:
Palin, though notoriously ill-travelled outside the United States, did journey far to the first of the four colleges she attended, in Hawaii. She and a friend who went with her lasted only one semester. “Hawaii was a little too perfect,” Palin writes. “Perpetual sunshine isn’t necessarily conducive to serious academics for eighteen-year-old Alaska girls.” Perhaps not. But Palin’s father, Chuck Heath, gave a different account to Conroy and Walshe. According to him, the presence of so many Asians and Pacific Islanders made her uncomfortable: “They were a minority type thing and it wasn’t glamorous, so she came home.” In any case, Palin reports that she much preferred her last stop, the University of Idaho, “because it was much like Alaska yet still ‘Outside.’ ”

When Sarah and her daughter were in the spotlight because her daughter was pregnant and not married, Obama reminded folks that his own mother was a teenage mom. He said, “I have said before and I will repeat again, I think people’s families are off limits, and people’s children are especially off limits.
“This shouldn’t be part of our politics,” he continued, “It has no relevance to Gov. Palin’s performance as governor, or her potential performance as a vice president.
“And so I would strongly urge people to back off these kinds of stories,” he said. “You know my mother had me when she was 18, and how a family deals with issues and, you know, teenage children, that shouldn’t be the topic of our politics and I hope that anybody who is supporting me understands that’s off limits.”
I guess that’s the difference between class and trailer trash – one says “back off” and the other says sure why not.

It cracks me up to find the really vicious anti PUMA groups that scream racism and prejudice and point to comments just like the ones above that have been directed towards Barack Obama in the past, I guess as long as they are directed towards anyone else other than Barack Obama, then it is ok.
Sage Reply:

As for vicious anti-PUMA groups, if that’s directed at me, I’m not anti-PUMA, I’m anti-stupid. Anybody who supported Hillary Clinton and now supports Sarah Palin isn’t real bright in my opinion. The only thing they have in common is sex organs.

I’m saying that I can read a topic that insults PUMA’s elsewhere on the internet… http://stupidpumas.com/2009/10/17/clever-puma-stupid-huffington/
and them I can come here and see the same type of bashing towards Sarah Palin.
Both of the bashers have one thing in common, their support of Barack Obama.
Apparently being a Barack Obama supporter means bashing PUMAs and Sarah Palin are the order of the day. Get over yourselves already.

Get over yourself already…..you don’t get to decide what I put on my blog. And I’m not responsible for what is posted at Huffington, now, am I?

Since my site was linked here by that idiot Machi, let me chime in here for a minute. Please don’t listen to Machi as he is a fervent puma Palin supporter who also believes Obama is a scary Muslim. These people who supported Hillary and who now support that crazy Palin are doing it out of spite for Obama which is at it’s best very childish and at it’s worst dangerous for this country. My blog was created to point out puma stupidity and racism with their support of any candidate as long as it’s a woman and their dedication to keeping anyone who isn’t white out of government. Thanks Machi, for turning me on to this blog, I kinda like it. Thanks for letting me reply Sage.

You’re welcome….it’s only fair since your blog was linked to. Machi usually only shows up to take up for Sarah Palin. Poor little Sarah whose life is like a bad soap opera and who likes to slam other people and then whine when she gets it back. I remember her criticizing Hillary Clinton with a comment about no whining in politics.
She talks about a perceived whine and actually tells Hillary to WORK harder….LOL. Miss Quitter telling Hillary Clinton to work harder is ironic to say the least.
Here’s a link to the video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nC-tOzXQOsk
I guess Sarah found her own advice hard to take since she spends half of her time whining about how she is so mistreated.
Yes, I was unhappy with the primary process for the Democrats….I was down right angry, but I damn sure am not willing to cut off my nose to spite my face by throwing my support behind an ill-informed, right wing lunatic who had the unmitigated gall to criticize Hillary Clinton and tell her to work harder.

When I see your arrogant name calling, then I see more of it going on here, I just want to remind you all that you support Barack Obama and somehow think it is ok to make fun of PUMA’s and Sarah Palin.
As for being a Sarah Palin supporter, I am neutral on her. She is every bit as capable as Barack Obama, and just like Barack Obama, hit the spotlight before having a chance to flourish in the background.

The train has left the station Machi and you missed it by supporting crazy people like Palin right on down to that fake democrat Murphy. People can see right through your act and it’s time to give it up.
