Honestly i'm not a fan, but don't judge him... just let him be, if you don't want to see someone do something like that then don't watch it was your choice to watch it in the first place, no one was making you.

If this performance had been a different venue I wouldn't have had a problem with it. I felt it was inappropriate for a network t.v. show.

I am all for this. Adam Lambert is one of the few openly gay performers who are making it in the entertainment industry. I am sick and tired of the one sided, close minded nature of this indusrty and it is wonderful to see a talented, gay performer pushing the bounderies in stage shows as well as his music.

I recently attended the Lady Gaga live show in London and I am telling you from first hand experience that her show was FAR more sexually explicit and prevocative,(Including simulated oral sex on a female back up dancer). No one has batted an eyelid at her fabulously unsavoury shows but the minute a guy does it, especially a gay man, it is a massive issue. What a kind of double standard is that?? I am sick and tired of it.

Adam Lambert, You are a wonderful ambassador for the gay comunity and you are doing us all proud. I would be exstatic if my child grew up to be like you. Your a wonderful role model, screw what anyone else thinks.

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!

i honestly thought he was going to go all out with this performance since i had heard the media basicly forsake it and forbid running it on TV but it wasnt as bad as i had hopped uh i mean thought. i had never heard Lambert and wasnt really a fan but since this incident i think i might actully listen to his music. i hope he brings out more dirty-dirty in his next performances!

OK, I finally got around to watching Lamberts infamous performance at the AMA's. It wasn't anything like I expected. Much tamer than the media and talking heads have made it out to be. I actually liked his performance. I think a lot of people are sexually uptight. I like him more now. I didn't watch the AMA's because I thought it was going to be very white bread cookie cutter since it was on network TV.
I think I'll be checking out his album. I'm LMAO. I expected a lot more naughtiness. People got all up in arms over this like they did with Elvis on Ed Sullivan. lol

honestly, the bad vocals, the trip, and the obvious cry for attention were quite laughable. i was craking up the whole tortuous way though. i dont really see what everyones making a big deal about, i've seen these prefomances before, he just picked up bits and peices and molded them together. it's nothing new, just a new way of seeing it. i can tell Adam can do way better than this, he probably just wanted something for people to think, 'woah! this kid is out there! let's buy his album!' too much too soon Adam but surely a good try.

I personally think the show was just a stepping stone. Did he have a direct say in what the whole performance would look like?

And about the whole 'ad-libbing' thing with the crotch to face and kissing parts, I think we have to realize what was going on during the song. The song itself it basically about using someone "for your entertainment". I think a good portion of the grabbing and sexual positions may have just been the dancers and Adam getting caught in the moment... besides, no one fell off cue, did they? I must admit, if I were the keyboardist, I would have probably had to go, "Whoa! What was that?!"

There's alot of talk here about women being the sex class. Its true. And I think having such a bold and fresh face blow the door open makes it very exciting. I think he once said he gets alot of cues from a Mr. David Bowie. He was at one point a sex-symbol, and look at some of the crazy looks he pulled off?! And to boot, he was openly bisexual!

All in all, I think Lambert did what wasn't necessarily bad. Compared to some of the crazy things other musical artists and actors have done, it may not really even be that out of the ordinary. we all know he is a great singer. With the right training, he could probably become an even greater stage performer... but MAYBE he should keep the off-the-cuff actions down to a very low minimum.

On a side note, he did make a note to apologize and admit that it was not scripted. He took the heat like a man. He didn't hide... and I think that is just as important as having the wherewithal to do the actions in the first place.
