@Sage, "I’ve seen a lot of macho actions and talk covering up cowards and I think that is particularly sad."

In dogs its called "fear aggression".

As for the rest - I don't get it either.

I'm glad you liked it. I thought it was a great interview. I, too, don't think we are a fragile nation, but I think there has been attempt to turn us into fearful people. I've seen a lot of macho actions and talk covering up cowards and I think that is particularly sad. I guess a good example is all the hoopla about bringing Gitmo prisoners to the U.S. for prosecution. Are we really fearful that they will somehow be a big threat? Really? We have people like Charles Manson that make the Gitmo prisoners look like bumbling school boys and somehow we have managed to keep Manson contained. I truly don't get it.

Thank you for posting that interview. It ties in with something I heard on the radio today on another issue. The core of both is whether we are, as Dobbs claims, a fragile nation and thus fearful, or a strong resilient nation capable of stepping out boldly.

The guy on the radio agreed with Dobbs, but did not agree that we should be guided by our fragility.
