What a class act! Adam refuses to be drawn into the whole controversy. He avoids the silly “gay, not gay, did that hurt you” arguement and continues to praise Kris as a great artist.
While I admit I was hoping Kris would win, Adam will achieve his greatness! I think he should be the new lead singer for Queen! He really rocked…
As Cowell said about Lambert, he is the worldwide star that AI has always been looking for. The fact that he lost to the Allen/Gokey church singer coalition means nothing. Whether you like him or not, Lambert is the riveting, charismatic performer everyone wants to see (even if it is only to criticize). And looking at the disgust on Cowell’s face after the vote expressed it all. Wouldn’t be surprised if he dumped this glorified karaoke competition after this ridiculous outcome.

Simon’s response to the announcement of the winner was very telling, wasn’t it? When you open up the vote to America I guess you have to be prepared for America to get it wrong. Nothing against Kris….he seems to be a nice young man with a good voice, but he doesn’t have a GREAT voice. Adam does.
Fox won’t cancel A.I. until they start losing money on the deal.
My youngest son Logan was blind and he loved music and hated tv. When the OJ Simpson trial was on tv daily I had to watch everyday of the trial which meant Logan couldn’t listen to his music. One week before the trial verdict came in I found Logan dead in his bed. My son died from a prescribed overdose of chloral hydrate that I administered. When the trial verdict came in not guilty I swore I’d never watch tv again. I kept that promise to myself for 13 years until this year when I was visiting my sister while she was watching American Idol. When the program began I left the room however not for long once Adam Lambert began singing and I had to go see who was on the tv with such a beautiful voice. From that day on I have watched AI just to watch Adam perform. I love adam and I wish american could have judged him for his amazing voice and nothing else. He will always be my american idol and I’m the grandmother of 6. I can also say that he has changed my way of thinking about people who are gay because I have a son Adam’s age and if Adam was my son american idol or not I’d be so proud of him because Adam is truely a good man with a beautiful soul and spirit. Thank you adam for all the happiness you’ve brought to my life. If my Logan was alive today he would love you as much as I do.

I’m always amazed at the adversity some people face and yet they still go on. I’m so sorry for your loss.
I’m glad Adam’s singing has brought you happiness. I think the young man is an amazing talent.
