Maybe our declaration that we are number 1 is merely whistling through the graveyard because the fact of the matter is we have a lot of work to do in many areas for us to be number 1. It’s time to put the arrogance aside and forge a new path to a better future where we aren’t outspending the rest of the world for military but instead we are developing relationships of cooperation, using our great resources to see that our children are educated and healthy and developing the technology that enables us to leave a smaller footprint on the planet.
