Demonstrations turn violent

I absolutely believe in the right to protest, but I don’t believe in trashing private property as part of a protest.  The anarchists do the other protesters a grave disservice by turning the protest violent.

Cop who detained NFL player at hospital quits

I’d be willing to bet he resigned rather than getting fired.  Given this wasn’t his first incident and the comments on his blog that were sent to Internal Affairs, I doubt he had a real choice.  We certainly don’t need police officers who are looking forward to shooting people.
