Kennedy Is Said to Withdraw Senate Bid
Another article said she withdrew for “personal reasons” and included Ted Kennedy’s health as one of those reason. Whatever the reason for her withdrawal she doesn’t have the experience and credentials for the position.

Caroline Kennedy tonight withdrew her name from consideration to replace Hillary Clinton in the U.S. Senate after learning that Gov. David Paterson wasn’t going to choose her, The Post has learned.
Kennedy’s decision removes the highest-profile name in the ring to step into Clinton’s now-vacant seat, as she departs after getting confirmed today as President Obama’s Secretary of State.
Sources said the reason Paterson had decided not to tap the daughter of John F. Kennedy was her poor performances in media interviews and in in private sessions with various officials.
Aides to Kennedy couldn’t be reached for comment.
SOURCE
Keith Oberman of MSNBC is now saying that she is not withdrawing but I would consider the source on that.

I wish the “news” media would make up it’s mind. I’ll do some further checking. Thanks for the heads up Judy.

Fox News just reported she is out and then recanted the statement saying it was unconfirmed. I think NY can do much better than Kennedy.

I agree;for example, Gillibrand has made quite an impression. Lots of problem in this state currently.

This has been a silly little experiment it seems. I wonder if she never intended to take the seat, only to test the waters for a future bid. Silly Silly and SILLY !

I never got it in the first place. She has always avoided politics. At least the front stage portion.

The governor is up for re-election next year, since he was a Spitzer replacement, and Kennedy support has to be a consideration. It’s not about qualifications or experience, it’s about quid pro quo and money.

Patterson inherited the job from Spitzer. Who say he will be elected (not re-elected) for year 2010. Moral wise, Patterson was no different from Spitzer. Spitzer got caught for hiring a prostitute in DC (he was not charged by the way). A few days after Patterson took over, he admitted that he had hired prostitutes himself in the past and did cockaine. His wife then also came out and admitted cheating on her husband in the past. It was quite bizzare.
As for politics, Patterson created lots of new taxes ie obesity tax, another cigarette tax, ipod tax to balance NY budget. Well, these taxes are waiting to be passed.

Wow… didn’t realize that the new gov was as bad or worse, and lots of creative tax ideas. Hopefully, the voters will come to their senses.

The NY Times is now reporting that Patterson has no intention of appointing Kennedy due to personal and business questions relating to taxes, a nanny situation and her marriage.

Wonder if the real reason of pulling out from the senate race is due to she is not Patterson’s choice. To save herself from public humiliation after making such claim, “Ms. Kennedy believed that the job was hers if she would accept it.”

Meanwhile, back in Minnesota, it looks like Coleman isn’t holding much hope of winning his court challenges. He signed up as a paid advisor to the Republican Jewish Colition today.
So kids, we have another comedian in the Senate

It was a very close race…it must be tough for Coleman to loose in such a tight margin.

Well he has been accused of questionable behavior. Back door money. He has those court cases too.
