Sammy’s Good Life in Norway, Part 1 by Grace
This article is the work of guest author GRACE. Thank you, Grace.
Once again, I will be re-examine parts Sammy’s self-composed “humble” biography, since Sammy repeatedly encourages me to write with his life-long motto, “sometimes bad publicity is good publicity.” Furthermore, I have been forgiven so many times by Sammy, I personally feel I owe him at least one more article. Yes, Sammy indeed a “gracious” person who have in the past black-mailing Dagbladet reporters with prostituting charge and lawsuit, after they reported about his shady past in June, October and November of this year. I was personally threatened by “merciful” Sammy numerous times from lawsuit to physical harms. Please understand those who still believe, Sammy is not one bit bitter nor has sleepless night according to his biography and recent article. I hope this article will help you to determine if Sammy is really living a guilt free life and has attained sainthood in Norway.
According to Dagbladet, Sammy, a Kenyan man, first stepped on Norwegian soil in 1975 to attend District College of Molde. Unlike many predicted that Sammy lives in a dungeon with no family members, Sammy does have family members. Dagbladet also stated that during this time, Sammy married a native Norwegian woman but ended divorcing her. I suspect Sammy obtained his Norwegian citizenship through this marriage, this fact is yet to be determined.
http://www.dagbladet.no/tekstarkiv/artikkel.php?id=5001080059079&tag=item&words=sammy%3Bkorir
From all the information I have gathered, Sammy perhaps remarried again in the mid 80s, and have at least 4 children from both of his marriages. Most of them are grown adults now and some with established career/family. His youngest is in her teens. Sammy’s current marital status is unknown. Since his family members are not part of Rainbow Foundation/API scam, I will leave their names out unless proven otherwise in the future. Therefore, I will not be enclosing my source about his family members.
According to Adult Education to Samis, “the Sami Conference in 1971 expressed that folk high schools, voluntary education and adult education for Samis should be promoted” (http://home.online.no/~sveilund/skole/adeden3.htm). The Samis live in Karasjok County in Northern Norway (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karasjok) . According to Sammy, he started to work for Karasjok County as a teacher from August 1978 until June 1979. From July 1979 to March 1981, Sammy was promoted to be the district adult education officer for Karasjok County. It was recorded by BBC on August 29, 1987,
“In 1980-81 Mr Korir was charged with grand embezzlement but the case was dropped when evidence got burnt in the office. Mr Korir reported that the cause of fire was a copying machine which had exploded. County official, Mr Sverre Oppdahl, in Karasjok reports that there were other reports against Mr Korir concerning money frauds.”
The full clipping can be found on http://mountainsageblog.com/2008/10/31/apis-chief-editor-sammy-korirs-shady-past-and-present-2-2/#more-1601 Sammy left Norway very quickly, and went back to Kenya for his high Kenyan government positions from June 1981 to September 1985. Five years later, Sammy faced the same charges by Kenyan Government in 1985-86. In the same article,
“He was arrested and charged in a court of law for stealing 3,000 shillings belonging to the students. He jumped bail and fled to Oslo, Norway. The government would like to state quite clearly that whatever Mr Korir is doing in Norway has nothing to do with the Kenya government. Mr Korir knows pretty well that he is a wanted criminal in Kenya to answer fraud charges. The people of Norway must be very careful in dealing with him.”
In January 1986, Sammy moved back to Norway to start his new life and hoped everyone has long forgotten his deed in Karasjok County. And Sammy also thought most probably no one will ever find out about his criminal background in Kenya. While waiting for his political career to surge, Sammy humbly working at a school as an English teacher from 1986 to 1987, and post office from 1987-1990. Sammy learned very quickly “sometimes bad publicity is not necessarily good publicity”. His troublesome background has caused him an opportunity working for President Moi in 1987. President Moi publicly denounced his relationship with Sammy after international news media mocked and shamed Moi for using a con man as his envoy in Norway. In 1990, Sammy made another attempt to win Moi’s favor by publicly supporting Moi’s decision of shutting down Norwegian Embassy in Nairobi. Sammy was brushed aside by Moi once again. You can read more about it from my older articles –

Sammy did not post any jobs between 1990-1996 in his resume. In 1992, Sammy became infamous in Norway when he was declared a “sjarlatan” by Supreme Court. In 1996, Sammy resurfaced from 6 years of hiatus. From supporting Moi’s violating human rights, Sammy switched gear and formed a humanitarian organization, Rainbow Foundation, in 1996. Sammy was and still is a classic case of an opportunist. Sammy gained some attention by publicly condemning the Norwegian Health Department not doing enough for the African residents in Norway. It is the same tactic he used for condemning all local and international media for boycotting Moi in 1987.
Sammy said in his biography, “The Norwegian State has poured a lot of Money to the organization and we have done our job.” Not so according to Norwegian board of Health. In the early stage of Rainbow Foundation, “the organization had used a hundred thousand dollars in violation of the conditions”. Against their better judgement, Norwegian board of Health gave Rainbow Foundation 1.5 million worth of state fund to organize workshops pertaining AIDS education between 1996-2000. All the workshops supposed to be held in Stavanger, Bergen, Trondheim and Tromsoe did not happen. The fund was distributed to himself as income, and the rest as entertaining fee—dining in fine restaurant and drinking in pubs.
Despite of Sammy’s claim in his biography, “there was no truth in the accusation. If there was, I would have been punished.” Norwegian news media, NRK, reported Rainbow Foundation was investigated. When Rainbow Foundation being investigated in 2000, Sammy’s computer conveniently crashed and lost all the account information. As the result, Norwegian board of Health immediately stopped their funding to Rainbow Foundation. Sammy did try to appeal, but to no avail. Sammy applied for state fund in 2001 and was rejected again. In 1996, Aftenpost reported Rainbow Foundation was not registered with NGO. All NGO non-profit organizations can be found on NGO Norway, except Sammy’s Rainbow Foundation. Sammy claimed he was unjustly reported by his “enemies”, the Norwegian media—in this case Aftenpost, NRK and Dagbladet, due to their jealousy of him; however, Sammy failed to disclose the reasons of such immense jealousy.
Please read Sage’s coverage of Rainbow Foundation for further information.

Poor Sammy, he is the most unlucky man in this Universe. So far, Sammy claimed he has been wrongly accused and charged for grand embezzlement twice in the 80s, declared a Charlatan and his Rainbow Foundation was investigated a few times in the 90s. All Norwegian media is very jealous of him for no good reason. OR is Sammy refused to take responsibilities for his own actions? Is Sammy’s lifelong motto, “sometimes bad publicity is good publicity” pending out for him so far? Shouldn’t Sammy be thanking the media for giving him bad publicity all these years? Why would he black-mailing Dagbladet reporters November this year, if he truly measure his success by bad publicity? If so, Sammy should not be complaining for being “abused” when the media uncovered the truth about Sammy, a fraud.
More to come in Part 2.

Bravo, Grace!
How decent and classy of you to leave Mr. Korir’s family members alone(thumbs up) as your research continues to unravel the mystery concerning him. Interesting that office-machines ( a copier and a computer to date) seem to have built in “self-destruct” buttons whenever Mr. Korir came under intense investigation in the past for mis-management of funds entrusted into his care. Best wishes with your continued research, Grace, which is important before Mr. Korir retraces his steps and ties up any other loose ends. Be back next year to catch up with Part 2 of your investigative series. Won’t hold my breath, but it would be encouraging for Mr. Korir’s sake to see him “turn over a new leaf”, come clean and start the new year off with a clean slate( however, as with anything else associated with Mr. Korir, I’m sure his idea/definition of “soon” won’t be soon enough). Season Greetings!

Thank you, Al. I appreciate your true encouragement and kind words. How I wish Sammy used the opportunities given to him wisely, and really helped the poor and ill. Unfortunately, his focus is earning fast money without lifting his fingers. That would be nice, if he would just come clean with everything. With that much guilt pilling up, his heart has to be hardened. It will take God to change this man.
The second part will probably out before 2009. I just need to read the translated material carefully, so I do not present the material wrongly.
Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Best wishes,
Grace

December 23rd, 2008 at 2:33 pm
By the way, API/Jimmy is in chat room right now. And he’s now claiming that the tape is with Hope. then Hope gave it to her boss. Then gave it to ex-president and then now, it’s supposed to be with current president (Bush). He has conveniently washed his hands off the tape and should it not get “published” he has someone to blame (again!).

Fox News lies to Sammy and he’s suing Fox News
Sammy sends the tape to a hosting service in Texas
Sammy is going to air the tape on his website
Sammy gives the tape to Obama’s representatives
Sammy gives the tape to an ex-president who gives it to George Bush
What did I miss? That tape sure has been around for a tape that nobody has heard.

I saw mention of Hope and the tapes on a brief pass through yesterday. I did not believe it. API can’t seem to decide just where those tapes are!

Hi Dixie, Thanks for sharing.
I was in blog yesterday when Jimmy said about Hope having the tape, then her boss, then ex-pres, then current pres. And those believers actually believed it (no surprise there). Even grandma1 said she recalled Bush saying a week or so ago something like “it’s taken care of” and she thought it’s about the tape.
So, yeah, even with all the bizarre twists in this story and all the proof that’s been produced so far, most especially by Sage, Sluggo and Grace, they still believe, and I think they’ll keep on believing, until Sammy himself admits (which he won’t of course). that it’s nothing but a much elaborated hoax. But then again, even if Sammy admits it, I think they’ll just think that he’s been paid off or something to not publish the tape. In their mind, there is a tape. And that’s that.

Wizcon, I’ve been working on our ministry site and I wanted to let you know that I’ve put some of my daughter’s songs on it. If you get a chance just click on my name and check it out. She’s 27 and has been singing since she was six. She’s married with 3 kids now and her relationship with God has matured considerably.
We both have a couple of really talented daughters.

My My! We sure do! She is very good!
Here is a link to a friend of mine. She just released a faith CD. She has really made a leap of faith in the last year or so. I haven’t seen her for awhile but always hoped she would take this leap with her talents. She has a little tiny music store in a tiny little town.

Hi DrS,
Good Morning!
Sorry, I’m not able to copy transcripts of last night’s blog with Sammy. I was barely there for 3 minutes, and I got banned.
When I’m there I try to blend in with the believers, as much as possible, saying nothing against API. but sometimes, it’s just irritating and so unbelievable what they’re saying there and can’t help myself but say something negative. I’m not sure if that’s why I got banned.
I hope there’s nothing “important” that Sammy announced last night.

Is there ever? If it comes out of Scammy’s head it can’t be very important. And it would probably be a lie any way. But, thanks. I just don’t go to the chat rooms very much here lately. I’ve been really busy, but I don’t much care for them anyway. I sometimes feel like I need a bath when I’m in there very long. LOL

I just looked in there. “Jimmy” has been signed on over 13 hours. Not saying anything. oops!
My guess is that even he will get tired of it and they’ll all fade away.

…And. Getting all excited over his lies just gives him the power he seeks. I can’t think of one thing except maybe something he copied and pasted from someone else, that has not been shown to be true. Your reaction can feed or starve him.

Good morning everyone!
Hi Dixie, it has been a while since I last saw you. Thank you for that piece of news. Hope must not feel too good with Sammy’s crazy lies about her. Well, I am very glad she came out of Sammy’s magic spell at the end.
I have to put my part 2 article on hold yesterday. During my reserach I found more stuff. All I can say to you rightnow, Sammy has no shame.

It’s a winter wonderland out there! Big fluffy snow flakes! Really pretty if you don’t have to go anywhere. Son in law is singing away. Youngest daughter shoveling second story deck to make a hill. She jumps off the deck with her snowboard and rides quite a ways if she builds it right. Should be an interesting day especially if we don’t have to take her to the hospital!

Merry Christmas Eve, ladies!! I haven’t been able to participate in the API dark drama as of late, but reading the thread above, it has reached Twilight Zone proportions. The spouse and I have been trying to tend to my stepson who suffered a ruptured appendix at 3:00 AM on Wed. morning, after which he went toxic and was going downhill fast. He went through emergency surgery and is better today, but he is on some very strong multi-spectral antibiotics to control the infection in his body cavity. We are trying to make Christmas Eve as cheerful as possible in the hospital for him, but he almost didn’t make it and he knows it. He is in a Catholic hospital and the nuns in attendance have been wonderful. Anyway, things will get better as he is a young lad and healthy, and we know this could have turned out much worse. I hope your celebrations are with your loved ones and friends, and that everyone has a happy and cheerful.

Everyone have safe and lovely night and tomorrow and squeeze your family tight~
Two years ago on Christmas eve my sister’s father in law died of an unexpected heart attack, a fairly healthy mid aged man and it was of course a SHOCKING BLOW. The moral to the story is hug them all every chance you get ,,,,,
We are so blessed to live here and enjoy this time, so don’t forget or take it for granted..
That being said I’m going to endure my mom today GLADLY ,,,,uh yes GLADLY , Joyously maybe, but I don’t wanna get carried away.
And if I can do it, so can you all…..
Love this place Sage , tks for it and I enjoy everyone’s company.

Mbousa – My heart goes out to you and your family. I’ve done the Christmas Eve in the hospital thing and it’s very difficult, in one regard, because your world has turned upside down. On the up side, God is good – all the time. He will take care of your stepson. For you and for your family, I pray for release from fear and peace in your heart, strength for you and for your husband, healing for your stepson, wisdom for the doctors and nurses who are treating him.
Be sure and tell your stepson that December 25th is just the day that we have historically celebrated Christmas. We don’t know for sure that the birth of Christ occurred in December, and in fact, have reason to believe that He was born in the spring.
Everything else is built around the birth of our Savior – Saint Nicholas, who didn’t come along in the form that we know him (Santa Claus) until the turn of the century, the Christmas tree, the carols we sing and the day we celebrate are only significant within the Holy birth.
Your stepson may celebrate Christmas differently this year, but I can guarantee you that it will be a Christmas he remembers, years from now as a special and different day. There is much to be thankful for and we’ll all celebrate that for you as we pray for your stepson’s renewed health.
God bless, my friend.

I hope everyone has a truly wonderful Christmas. I will keep those of you who are experiencing challenges this year in my heart and prayers.
It has been my honor to get to know such a great bunch of people. I am thankful that you Sage provided this oasis in the midst of the turmoil. And hope to get to know all better after the holidays.
Merry Christmas!

Compile a list. I have the last name of the family he is living with and need to figure out which branch of that family it is. Multi generational family in the area.
If he is like the other teens around here, he’s probably at the mall for the sales (The boys watch the girls) or the hockey rink.

lol…Boys watch girls, lol! I would hate to bother him during this special time of the year. Wizcon, I actually found more information on Christmas Eve and my problems are mostly solved. I have finished part 2, and working on Part 3 rightnow. If I am stuck, I will let you know.

If nothing else my neighbor probably knows how to get ahold of him. She is in High school and I am sure she has noticed him given the size of the school (small) and his picture in the school bulletin.
I imagine he is homesick about now.

How was your Christmas celebration yesterday?
December 26th, 2008 at 9:16 am
Our celebration was on Wednesday. We capped it off by going to a service at one of the old stone churches here. Once again amazed at some of the talents in music. This church had an old pipe organ where the pipes were all around us. I think I am still vibrating from it. Goofed off yesterday watching movies, eating cake etc.
December 26th, 2008 at 9:27 am
Yes, authentic pipe organ is brilliant and loud! My husband and I do enjoy the organ playing of our church organist especially when she uses the pedal. I am very glad you had an enjoyable and relaxing Christmas.
I made a big Christmas brunch, while cooking Christmas dinner. We both enjoyed sitting together and talking about Christ and also our new home. We exchanged gifts. He bought me a Lodge cast iron Dutch Oven, and I got him a oil lantern and DVD box sets. We watched a bunch of Perry Mason and Father knows best through out the day. It was nice!
