Congress warms to new oil drilling

WASHINGTON – Senate Democrats promised a series of votes next week on offshore oil drilling as Republicans agreed Monday to let the Senate proceed on a defense bill that had been bottled up because of partisan disputes over the country’s energy priorities.
Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada said he is ready to take up two proposals that would allow limited oil and gas drilling 50 miles off Florida’s Gulf coast and in the Atlantic off four southeastern states as well as a broader Republican drilling bill.
“We are offering Republicans multiple opportunities to vote for increased drilling,” declared Reid, addressing what has become the biggest energy issue in Congress as well as in the presidential campaign.

Of course Congress is now moving forward with the off shore drilling!! Why not?? Obama doesn’t care about getting rid of our dependence on forgien oil!! Why?? Cause if we are selfsafishent then that is one more thing the democrats will not have over us to control us with!! Congress (or should I say democrats) have been holding us hostage about this issue for years!! Why?? Cause we had a republican president!! They didn’t want him to have credit for anything good!! So they stailmated everything that came their way that had a republican stamp of approval on it!! When Clinton was in office…Congress was made up of mostly republicans…and as a result…Clinton got credit for the good things that got pushed through!!! But the democrats will have none of that!! That is sick!! To watch this country go down a deep dark hole while the people suffer and do nothin about it cause you don’t want someone else to have the credit is sick!! And if you don’t think that I’m right then look it up!! Do your research!! Do the math and the time lines and you will be horrifide!! The house and sentate are made up of mostly democrats…….and since that has come to pass….the economy had began to destuck without the leadership this country needs!!

Yeah, do your research. You’ll find that both Congress and the President enacted bans on offshore drilling, and Bushie allowed the presidential ban to stay in place until this summer.
And who enacted that presidential ban? Bill Clinton? Uhhhhhh, research says “No.”
George Herbert Walker Bush. lmao
